Your body feels heavy, your eyelids droop, your pillow is uncomfortably scratchy. And then there's the ceiling, flickering and quivering in a self-imposed fever pitch. Your thoughts circle, race, chase each other, always missing their target. Catchphrases from YouTube yoga tutorials echo in your head, stuck alongside memories of meaningful, fleeting glances exchanged in the collective trance of a night out. Your pulse is still hammering at 150 bpm as you take one last sip of bittersweet euphoria.


The new mischgewebe EP "too tired to fall asleep" is all about the peculiarities of the dark hours. As well as heavy dance music, its seven tracks also feature plenty of sensitive songwriting. Sometimes, the only thing standing between elated ecstasy and crippling self-doubt is the dawning blue hour. Self-care becomes a battlefield; recovery, a lucrative business. mischgewebe skillfully weave these signs of our time into their lyrics and their precise, club-inspired beats.


Legend has it that mischgewebe – Mel D and Bill B – originally came together out of necessity. Over the years, their union has developed into a symbiosis that is far away from pragmatism. Their music captivates listeners with impressive lyrical depth and cinematic richness. It virtuously interweaves catchy dream-pop melodies with experimental soundscapes and innovative sound design. Having played well over 120 concerts, mischgewebe have established themselves as a convincing live band. Their thrilling shows excite buzzing club audiences just as much as experienced concert-ears.
